What is a Project Stakeholder?

A project stakeholder is anyone who has an interest in the project or someone who may be affected by the project activity or outcomes. A stakeholder may be internal or external to the organisation running the project.

This can include:

  • Users
  • The project team
  • PMO
  • External Suppliers
  • Procurement
  • Governance and/or external regulators
  • Customers
  • Project Sponsor
  • Project Board
  • The public
  • Partners
  • Interest groups
