Do I need to connect to the Virtual Desktop Service (VDS) to communicate via Webex or MS Teams?

No, in fact we would advise you against connecting to the VDS  when participating in any type of video call.

You will get a far better experience by connecting the Webex or MS Teams directly from your home machine.

Tip: If you need to share documents on your online meeting, make sure you save these in SharePoint or OneDrive so you can access them via Office 365.
