My student has been arrested, what do I need to do?

Aimed at:  Personal Development Tutors (PDTs)  

Reference request: respond in writing using the University reference disclaimer (Guidance on References item 3.2) and offering only factual information; i.e. attendance. academic record, etc. View the Guidance on References. 

University Governance and Compliance: Report situation to Appeals, Complaints and Conduct manager. 

Student Conduct Regulations: Student should be referred to section SC3.7 of the Student Conduct Regulations.

Monitoring: student should keep you updated on the progress of this matter and could face sanctions if they do not. Ensure that you are informed about the outcome as it could have consequences for student progression, funding, visas etc.
