How do I delete my eduroam profile?
Aimed at: Edinburgh Napier’s staff
Windows 10:
- Click on the Start button and then the Settings icon.
- Choose Network & Internet.
- Choose W-Fi from the left menu and click on Manage Known Networks.
- Click on eduroam and choose Forget.
Windows 7:
- Untick the “Remember my credentials” box (refer to the Windows 7 Wireless Installation Guide - Step 6)
- Reboot computer and connect to eduroam – you will be prompted for a username/password
Mac OS 10.3 – 10.4:
- Change the username in the 802.1x configuration on the Mac (refer to the Mac OS 10.3 -10.4 Wireless Installation Guide)
Mac OS 10.5:
- Change the username in the 802.1x configuration on the Mac (refer to the Mac OS 10.5 Wireless Installation Guide)
iOS 10.8 and above:
- Select the WiFi symbol along the top menu bar and click on Open Network Preferences at the bottom of the drop down menu.
- Click on WiFi in the menu on the left and click Advanced located at the bottom right of the pop-up window.
- Select eduroam and click the minus sign. Click OK.
Linux:
- Change the username in the wpa_supplicant.conf file (refer to the Linux Wireless Installation Guide)
Symbian:
- Change the username on the Symbian device (refer to the Symbian Installation Guide)
Android:
- Change the username in on the Android device (refer to the Android Installation Guide)
