How do I register for the Postal Loans Service?

Aimed at:   Edinburgh Napier’s students 

The Postal Loans Service allows you to request library books online using LibrarySearch, and these will be sent to you using Royal Mail.

If you are a UK-based student studying part time, distance learning or on University Work Placement living outside Edinburgh (you should not have an EH1 – EH17 postcode) please complete the online registration form. You should be able to use the service within 48 hours of completing your registration. Books can be posted to the delivery address specified on your registration form (this may be a work address).

We will be extending the service to include those who are in quarantine, self-isolating or vulnerable. You will be entitled to use this service for the two week period of quarantine or self-isolation. If you need the service for longer, please email us at
