How do I access my Office 365 email account from an Android device?

Aimed at:  Edinburgh Napier’s students, Edinburgh Napier’s staff (users of Office 365 email only)

To install your Office 365 email account on your Android:

  • Open your preferred email client and click Add Account.
  • Select Exchange as the email type, click Next:

         

  • Enter your email address.
  • Enter your password, click Next:

          

  • Enter the settings below as required (not all Android clients will ask for all the settings):
    • Server name:         outlook.office365.com
    • Security type:          SSL
    • Server port:            443
  • Domain:      napier-mail
  • Username:  Staff enter your University username in the format [yourusername]@napier.ac.uk, e.g. 40004321@napier.ac.uk
  •                       Students enter your University username in the format [yourusername]@live.napier.ac.uk, e.g. 40004321@live.napier.ac.uk
  • Password:   your University password.

          

  • Click Next as required.

Your account will be added.
