Why is my article showing as “not compliant” in the Research Repository?

Aimed at:  Edinburgh Napier’s staff

The REF OA Indicator calculates REF compliance using a variety of data from the record. The item may not be compliant for the following reasons:

  • The record was created 3 months after date of publication if published after 1st April 2016.
  • The record was created 3 months after date of acceptance post 1st April 2018.
  • The record doesn’t have a copy of the full text.
  • The full text deposited is the published version and the publisher copyright policy does not allow this version to be publicly available through the repository webpages.
  • The deposit process hasn’t been completed. Check that the record is either “In review” or “Discoverable”.
