How do I contact the IS Service Desk?

Aimed at:  Edinburgh Napier’s staff & students

The IS Service Desk is the first point of contact for all Information Services (Library and IT) queries.

To view the status of the University's online services go to the Service Status Screen.

Contact the IS Service Desk on or off campus by:

Online:                          You can log a new call or submit a form using UniDesk via the “New Call” and “Forms” buttons

*24/7 Support

  • The IS Service Desk provides telephone and email support during core hours. 
  • Out of hours support is provided via the NorMAN Helpline.

A summary of 24/7 telephone and email cover can be found below:

Core Hours

Out of Hours

Mon - Thurs:   8:45am - 7pm

Friday:              8:45am - 5pm

Saturday:         8:45am - 5pm

Please note: 

  •  If you email the IS Service Desk out of hours, you will receive a response from the NorMAN email address rather than the IS Service Desk.
  • Whilst the out of hours support staff will be able to resolve the majority of queries there will be some occasions when your call will be logged and dealt with during core service hours, in this case you will be given a NorMAN call reference number.
