What devices can I use with MS Teams?

MS Teams enables you to communicate and collaborate with colleagues using audio, video, text chat and screen sharing. To use MS Teams, at minimum you need a device with:
- Microphone
- Speakers
- Keyboard (physical or virtual)
- Internet connection
If you wish to use MS Teams for video calls you will also need:
- Screen
- Webcam
Mobile Devices:
Standard mobile devices (e.g. tablets and smartphones) also support MS Teams through applications available in your device’s App Store. Installation instructions can be found on the Microsoft website.
How can I get a better MS Teams experience:
In a nutshell, the newer the device, the better experience you’ll get, however any modern device purchased within the last 5 years should allow for a reasonable MS Teams experience.
A headset with microphone is recommended but not essential as you can use the inbuilt microphone and speakers on your device if required Microphone and speakers
If you are using a Windows or Mac desktop ensure you are using the latest version of the operating system.
Minimum internet connection speeds vary depending on use but Microsoft recommend at least 1.2Mbps for HD quality video calls.
