My PDT student would like to change course, what do they do?

Aimed at:  Personal Development Tutors 

• Do they need help with academic skills or their wellbeing?
• Are they unclear about their career options?
• Do they have concerns about IT or financial issues?
• Is their living situation causing problems for them?

• Student will need to demonstrate necessary pre-requisites for the new degree.
• Programme change within trimester is unlikely after week 3
• Student may need to withdraw from studies and apply for the next intake of the new programme – refer to Withdrawal of studies FAQ. If approved, student must inform their funding body and Edinburgh Napier’s Fees Team to discuss any fee implications of changing programme.
• For international students, all changes must be reported to Visa & International Support.
• Current EU students will remain eligible for home fee status for the duration of their intended programme of study provided they commenced the programme prior to 1st August 2021. Should any student change programme after this date, their fee status may change depending on individual circumstances.
