What is the S drive?

Aimed at:  Edinburgh Napier’s staff

Each of the University's departments are allocated an area of disk space on the University network, this area is termed Departmental Data Area or S: Drive

The Departmental Data Area is accessible to all members of that department and is useful for sharing documents between users within the same department.

To save to your Departmental Data Area: 

  • Go through the same process you would use when saving to another drive but select S drive from the Save In drop down menu.

To access files saved to your S drive:

  • Click Start and select My Computer.  Your S drive will be listed along with other drives such as the C drive and H drive.
