  • iPhones
  • iPads
  • Android devices

iPhone imageOn iPhones and iPads you'll find the Microsoft Authenticator app on the App Store on your iPhone or iPad.  It supports devices with an iOS version of 10 or newer.  This means that if you have an up to date iPhone 5, 5C or newer you can use it.  A 4th Generation iPad (2012) or newer can also support it.

Android ImageAndroid device support varies by manufacturer.  You'll find the Microsoft Authenticator on the Play Store of your device to see if your device is compatible.  Generally if your device is 8 years old or newer it will be.

If your device does not support the Microsoft Authenticator App, then as long as your device can receive an SMS message it can be used for Multi-factor Authentication.
