How long does email remain in the deleted items folder?

Aimed at: Edinburgh Napier’s staff

Deleted mail remains in the deleted items folder indefinitely, you should therefore regularly empty your deleted items folder to ensure your inbox doesn't exceed its limit.   

To empty the deleted items folder:

  • Right click on the Deleted Items folder.
  • Click Empty Folder.
  • Click OK.

The items will be deleted.
