What is a Focused Inbox?

What is a Focused Inbox?

Aimed at:  Edinburgh Napier’s staff

Focused inbox is a feature of Outlook 2016 and Office 365.

It separates your inbox into a "Focused" tab and an "Other" tab.

Important emails appear on your "Focused" tab, other emails appear in "Other".

You can easily switch between the two by clicking on the relevant tab:

You teach the system what is important to you by moving messages between the 2.

For example, if a message from a particular sender lands in your "Other" tab and you move it to "Focused", the next email from that sender will go straight to your "Focused" tab.
